We girls usually find it difficult in choosing gifts to our special someone. My friend and I are talking about it few days before Valentines Day. She asked any suggestion but so sad I don't have anything in mind. It was funny though, but I did promise to call her if I find something special.

The next day I went to the mall with my cousin. We both had interest in the bedding sets that's on sale at Macy's. While strolling we went by the "Things Remembered" a store of personalized items and we decided to check it out. There, I saw a coffee mug and thought that my honey would love it specially if his is name is in it. The price was affordable and ready for pick-up after one hour.

It was a was a decent gift for my honey, in the next day I gave it to him. He was very surprised about it, and obviously he loves it. He used it at work during coffee time.

I was able to share it to my friend and she got same one too. I am glad I helped her.

Health is wealth this is a commom saying that I usually hear back on my younger days. My mom used to remind us not to be abusive to our body, she always gave us words of wisdom why we need to take care of our health and used this saying hundreds times.

Yesterday, I was saddened with the news about my cousin (in my father side) who is presently admitted to the hospital. He suffered infection that lead to complicatons due to kidney malfunction and as of this moment he have to undergo for multiple dialysis. My sister was very concern about him and to his two kids who witness the suffering of their father. After the third set dialysis the Doctor said they will observe for few days if his both kidneys will function again and if not that means my cousin is advice to have a monthly dialysis that cost thousands until kidneys will goes back to normal.

My sister is asking our help of prayers that he will survive with his ordearls. He remain strong and very possitive that he will overcome this obstacles and that is a good sign of survival. As of now we are wating for updates about is conditions and hoping that he will recover and live with his family for long more years.

We stayed in my sister's house during our holiday vacation in the Philippines. Their house is spacious and they have a spare bedroom for us. Aside from that, they are longing to see for my daughter again, and looking forward to hold and kiss her. We decided to stay at their place because it is relaxing, quite and cool breeze too. We let them talked, they asked if my sister could recommend someone to take care of their house while they're gone to the US to continue his treatment and to find a specialist at the same time. After that I never heard anything about the couple probably they're in the US already.

New Computer Desk For The Safety Of My Daughter

The safety of our children is our top priority outside or inside the house. I remember the first things we did when our daughter started crawling was cover all the outlets, secure gates, keep all hazardous household agents and much more.

Now that she walk well and able to climb the more I am watchful specially when it come into electricity. She climbs in the swivel chair and play with computer keyboard and pulling up the cables behind it. Actually I really do not like the style of our computer desk because aside from doesn't have drawers to keep office supplies it shows-up our octopus wiring which is unpleasant to my eyes.

My suggestion replace it with a corner desks as what I've seen in my friends house. Where it has compartments for the supplies, wiring will not be visible to our daughter as well as the keyboard and CPU. Recently I found one online and seems like it is the kind that I want. I am going to show it to my honey and hoping for his approval.

My honey was aiming for a flat screen and 3D Television before NFL will end. Actually the first plan was when the season games begins but we just decided to wait and expect that the price will drop after the seasons is almost over and so he patiently waited.

Until one day I think it was a week after we got back from our Philippine vacation. We went outside to unwind, go for a walk and to prevent us to fall asleep during day time (that is commonly called "jet lagged"). On our way home he asked me if it's ok we stop by in Fry's for awhile, I said no problem I know this one of your favorite place to browse. And we got there to his surprised the Television that he wanted was on sale and the price drop for about $500 for just that week. He was pretty anxious and I really understand but I just told him to go home and think about it because I know that there are more updated ones coming up and one more thing I want to make sure that we can still use it by the time comes that internet will lead compare to satellite in movies and TV shows.

So, that's what we did, think, talk about it and he explained to me all the features of it. We came back in the next day and get the unit it is sold in set with 3D player and two 3D glasses. Thanks to everyone out there who got me hooked on the new show on HGTV ondirect tv akron oh. I have the hardest time getting my other stuff done now that I am anticipating the chance to catch up on past episodes. The temptation to just sit down and get sucked in is huge and I laugh at myself for being such a nerd. I guess I can just use this as a motivation tool. Clean for three hours and sit down for one? Sounds great to me! As long as I do not turn on the tube then I am a good girl and I get right to work. So, note to self: DO NOT turn on the TV. You would think a 35 year old woman would be more disciplined but I am not. Of course who would rather do laundry than watch tv? No one my friends, no one. It is my sister's first day of work today. When I was talking to her last night I can tell how excited she is to start and a bit nervous of whats ahead, just like meeting new people, different surroundings, working with supervision and most of all in handling task that will be assign to her. Well, I do understand how she feel as of now aside from it is nature as newbie, she also stayed home as full time mom and wife for almost a decade now.

Actually she was offered for a jobs last year from friends and her husband immediate relatives but for some reasons she declined. And before the year 2011 ends she received another offer from a friend who is working as regular employee in one of the company just close by to their house. She got interested with job because of higher wages and they give good employees benefits. Then that was it she got accepted, got the schedule after submitted her requirements.

I've never really had a green thumb before, but I sure do try. You could say that I'm even green with envy for people who have green thumbs. Growing up, I would try and assist my mom with her flower garden. But I would always do a really awful job of trying to help her with whatever task she gave me to do. I don't give up easily though, so I'm going to try and see if I can keep some nice house plants in my home. I've always heard they're so much easier to keep that just regular in the garden, but we'll see what really happens though.

Our vacation plans to the Philippines is getting closer. A homecoming that wrapped with tremendous excitement, we will going home with my daughter and my siblings from a far will be there too.

Finalizing our trip will be after we receive my daughter's passport. We had it processed last week and the estimated delivery will be 4-6 weeks, which is for me not that bad and I really appreciated how smooth the application goes. Requirements are filled out passport application form, Baby's Birth Certificate, Passport photo, both parents must be there, payments must be made in check or money order only and we paid $105 total.

A very simple and quick processed. Now we still have 4 weeks to wait and after that we can start looking for a good travel itinerary.

Now that it is summer we go out more often. We make sure that we enjoy the season to the fullest through out door activities or even going out with friends. Though heat can be exhausted but still everyday we had plan something to do.

We arranged to visit a very good friend of ours today. She is around her early 90's and sad to say, she is now a home bound person due to her age. Our parish made schedules and make sure that she will helped for 24 hours everyday. And thank God many volunteered parishioners who are willing to help to our dear Miss R. How do I wish I can help her even if I have a baby but that might be a bit difficult. So, we just decided to visit her every week with my daughter.

While we are there she had that big smile on her face every time my daughter played with her. We had so much fun talking, and playing with my daughter. I don't even want to go home but I know Miss R really needs time to nap and relax.

Before we stepped out she gave my daughter a big hug and kiss and said we can visit her often.

Just recently I've watched in the news about blogger moms. They formed a group aiming to be well compensated in blogging and united every time there is a blog contest. They all have happy faces while working on their entries. One said she earned 1,000 dollars by joining the contest and paid per post. That is very interesting right? And to think she is only working on her blog when she had vacant time.

Now, finally In-N-Out burger are in North Texas. And just few days ago it was officially opened. Out of curiosity I went on the first day but the place was so packed and there is a bird lines all the way. My hubby suggested to wait a few weeks and let the crowd go. I guess I will wait though I'm so excited to taste the burger. I know they use all fresh ingredients from meat to veggies so for sure it taste awesome.

I first heard about In-N-Out burger when a pregnant famous celebrity back home was craving for it and it made me curious and want to know more about it. I've read reviews and comments are mostly positive. It is very interesting to a burger lover like me. But too bad I have to wait a week anyway I know it will come I just need to be patient.

I absolutely love watching TV at the end of a long hard day. In my line of work my body takes a pretty big toll. When I get home I absolutely need to relax and watch some television with my friends. Sure, there are better things I could be doing. But I'm in shape, have a lovely family and really just like to watch TV. My wife loves me and my kids do as well. I don't like watching for more than an hour or so at a time unless I really enjoy the show. However, an hour of TV when I get home from a long hard day at work is a great way for me to relax.

My personal favorite talk show is Jay Leno. Jay Leno has always been one of my favorites. I absolutely love watching !him on my Satellite TV from www.Direct.TV. The picture is crystal clear as is the sound. He isn't the funniest guy around but the way the show is put together is top notch. Before Leno I was never really a stand up comedy type of guy. I just didn't like it. However, once I watched a few episodes of Leno I became hooked. When he's on TV you can bet that I'll be watching him. He tells jokes, can become serious at times and overall is a great host.

I found blogging as very interesting hobby. I kept it updated almost everyday, visited other blogs and spent time reading inspiring posts. My hubby had Doctor's appointment yesterday. I had the anticipation that it will take longer like before. I decided that he will just drop us (me and our baby) in Walmart and get some errands that we need for the week and to window shop at same time. Before I started my window shopping I gathered what's in my to buy list. While walking around each aisle my baby kept on baby talking, reason enough to catch other shoppers attention. Some smiled at her and some stop in a bit and said good words about her (proud mom). I really cherish each moment with her.

We've been going around the store for quiet few times. We stayed longer in Baby section and Fabric or hobby section and thought to make a crochet blanket for my baby. While deciding what color of yarn should I get, I noticed my baby had already full asleep I quickly find a spot to give her milk and stayed until my hubby came to pick us up. (I will continue my plan to start crocheting next time).

While driving home I realized that the two of us had a great time. She was not fussy at all and I enjoyed looking around for two hours. (Smiley face)

My Niece First Egg Hunting

I've seen a pictures of my niece R yesterday picking colorful eggs. Looking at her basket full of eggs I thought she won the contest. My sister said all the eggs she got don't have prize inside. Maybe she don't know the trick yet. But she don't mind if she don't received any prize, she said she enjoyed the moment specially when she found out that her classmates are there. It is her first time to joined an Egg Hunting Contest in their Community and for sure she will be joining again next year.

Easter Sunday is the day of resurrection. As usual we attended the early Mass today. I am thankful that our baby was not fussy when Mass is going. Before our Pastor made his blessings he made few announcements and extending his gratitude as well.

After that a very close friends of ours invited us for lunch. Our baby was a bit fussy due to new faces she met and maybe because of the noise too. But after less that an hour she started to be comfortable and started to move freely. We went home with smile in our face knowing that being with wonderful people like them is such great feeling. We are so fortunate to have them in our life.

My Nephew's Birthday Party

I am glad to know that my Nephew's birthday celebration was successful. To think that their time is limited to make it possible. Imagine, my note of his natal day is incorrect and my sister in law sent me a message a week before the exact date of his birthday. I hastened and contacted my two sister's in Oregon and Hong Kong. We all know that our nephew is excited for his big day to come. My sisters decided to send money to support the preparation. Shopping is always a pleasure. Even if I have my baby I still go out and shop for myself. On my sister's side since they are miles away to town. Postpartum Hair Loss

Lately, I have noticed my hair keep falling out after few months from giving birth. I asked my cousin and she have the same problem too. I browsed online and found an explanation from baby center. An increased of estrogen during pregnancy prolong hair growth and few are in resting stage. After few months from giving birth estrogen levels goes down and more hair follicles enter the resting stage hair. That is why more hair falling out every after shower or even brushing. And this will goes back to normal in about six to 12 months after giving birth.

Now I am planning to have a short cut hair. This might be more easier to manage while my hair is continue falling.

Friday is my schedule of going out with my baby. Either go for a walk around the complex or going to the mall for window shopping. But, due to weather condition I preferred to stay home. I tried to step out and when I knew how windy it is I back up. I can't handle how strong wind blows specially if it is against your direction. It seems like you're fighting to the wind. I am a bit disappointed but anyway looking forward for next Friday. I hope it's a lot better.

My cousin's enrollment is coming. It means I have to start saving for it. I planned to pay the whole tuition in one time rather than monthly basis. After we attended Mass today we decided to stayed home and watch movie. I sat in the couch while my hubby choose his favorite movie from his Western movie collections. It's been a while since we watch movie together. And I think our baby gave us a chance also because she took a nap after I fed her for lunch.

We watched John Wayne movies. We both love his movies and we enjoyed it. We feel so relaxed after we watched two Blue Ray successive. Maybe we'll do it again next Sunday.

So nice to have someone visiting you after a few weeks of being at home with my baby. My cousin and her daughter visited us yesterday. As usual she brought food and so do I and enjoyed our conversation while eating our food of the day. She brought Macaroni in heavy cream and I had my Yemas and Empanadas.

Instant Bonding with Grandpa

Our trip to Indiana with our baby was smooth and so much fun. Her toys and books that I brought had a big contribution to it. Our baby entertained herself by playing with it and love to listened to me when I am reading her favorite books. I didn't remember her being fussy and irritable while we are traveling and it's not what I expected. Anyway, we are so lucky because I heard a lot of stories about parents having hard moment traveling with their babies.

When we arrived her Grandpa was waiting in the leaving room and for the very first time he held and put her on his lap. I thought she will feel alienated and cried. But that's not what happened she was smiling, squirming, and baby talking while touching grandpa's face. So amazing to looked at them with that kind of bonding. My hubby said wish he understand what she was saying though. Well, as long as she is happy and comfortable that makes me feel better. So nice she had instant bond with Grandpa and rest of the clan.

Our trip to Indiana has been planned three months to introduce our little one to hubby's clan. Few more days left and we are going to hit the trail. Sure it will be a long drive for us. There are places that we've plan to stop such as Churches, Museum and Caverns. Oh! I wish it will be smooth as before now that we have our baby. I am a bit concerned about.

We have been packing the past couple days and will continue until our departure. A friend of mine said that I have to prepare our stuff a few days before but I was having problems making a list because my mind was preoccupied. It will be a new experience for us traveling with baby.

Big reunion coming up these year. Friends from different States of America will come for our get together that was planned long time ago. We talked on the phone, online and sending emails so we can catch up and continue our friendship that was built during our visa processing.

Every time I went to shopped for clothing I went directly to the clearance section. Red signs with 50-80% off items are so tempting and eye catching for me. That is why I cannot resist sometimes specially if items on sales are trendy and good quality it is either in store or online.

One time I told my hubby that I need a heavier coat because I really struggles during those cold days. And he advised me to wait until season ends. And just recently I got one from Macy's it was on sale for 80% off, the brand reliable, and it fits me perfectly.

Then my friend has shown me her new boots she got it on sale from Dillard's. It is a genuine leather and very light. She said there is a perfect time to buy anything. Just like end of seasons, off season, or bringing down old items due to new items are coming up. If store sales also it is good to go on the first day of sale while more selections are still there.

My baby is now four months old. She is now pleasant and happy. She loves to smile at people and in fact she tries to imitate every time we smiled at here. I can tell right now if she is hungry, sleepy and if she want's to play. She really laughs when I played with here. She is also aware of what is going on around her. She already knows where the sound came from. She can recognized our voice too. She reach things that she want to hold and put it in her mouth. Anyway it is alright since that is the way she is learning. We gave her harmless toys that she can handle such as rattles, squeaky toys and plastic rings and spoons. Then I kept her nails short I noticed that she scratching her face. She started to eat pureed foods. It needs a lot of patient though but I know she will learn to swallow food fast. I am so excited for the next development when she turn five months.

Having a pool at home is really great. You, your family and friends can have the opportunity to enjoy and stay cool specially during summers days. But we all knew that in all things you have to take care of it to stay healthy and sparkling pool. When opening your pool after winter ends proper sanitation is really recommended. Even checking each part like rust, cracks and more. Out for Lunch

As a mom and a wife life is always busy. Lot of things to do, cooking our own food, taking care of our baby, laundry every other day, clean up our place and more. I am enjoying it though. It is kind of my routine and it is better rather than setting and doing nothing.

So, I guess my honey noticed that I was a little tired today. He asked me if I like to go out for lunch. Then I pause for a few seconds. I could not recall the last time we went out for lunch. And my answer is big YES oh! I am craving for our favorite cuisine. Then we headed to TOKYO ONE in Addison. A buffet style, eat all you can with variety of Asian food. We enjoyed our lunch and also our conversation. Good thing our baby is very cooperative she did not make noise or being fussy there. Maybe she gave me break also. Going out for lunch once a week would be great for me. J

Her Developments

Our baby will turn four months next week. Days flies by so quick I still remember the first day we held her. She is so tiny and looks so fragile. Now her size looks doubled, she can hold her head pretty good, reach her toys, smile to whoever played with her, turn over on her own and lot to mention.

As parents our camera is always there to capture her developmental stages. We know that every stage will pass by and never happen again. So decided also to make a compilation of her monthly developments. It is something that we can keep. :

Higher Gas - Less Travel

I supposed to visit a friend tomorrow but I guess I rather stay home. Higher gas prices are making me re-evaluate jumping into the car to go anywhere or stay home and save money. The situation right now is really shaking. If gas goes up then that means commodities will be the next. Better to take first step just like combining your travels. I think I have to organize where to go this weekend to save gas and at the same time money.

Ideal place to live

Right now it is really good to plan for a better future. Like to have an educated kids, financial well-being, and the most important thing to be in your ideal home someday. There are lots of great places to live permanently and comfortably now a days. A place where you have easy access to the City and wherever you want to go.

I remember when a friend of mine invited me to her house. And we are talking about huge houses. She mentioned Rancho Santa Fe Community. She said is really perfect. Each house have a great distance to each other. Well landscaped, designs are so captivating. In Port St Lucie Homes in Florida is one of the best also it is near to businesses and it is good specially to the persons who loves fishing. There are so many fabulous homes around the Country to name another one the Island of Hawaii.

It is so great to think about future homes. Where and what is your ideal house it is really depend on you.

It is almost spring time! That is what in my mind one morning when I opened our bedroom windows and saw the sun is shining. I am so excited to see beautiful flowers and green leafy environment. Some are already started plan how to beautify their homes inside and out like using colorful planters.

You have a lot of selections to choose form like outdoor planters which can really create surroundings neat and a lot cooler like your window side, patio, or in the door side will works too. Best idea also is the fiberglass planters it is effective and easier to move to different location since it is lighter. To have something like this in your place will really adds brightness and fresh environments. Which good during spring, summer and for all seasons as well.

Marble Statue

Having a prayer room at home is such a good concept. It gives each family members to meditate solemnly and peacefully. That is one of our plans also in our future home. Right now I started collecting statue and the Statue of the Blessed mother is perfect. I got this marble statue at Accent French Antiques. They have lots of marble made statue and antiques furniture as well. :)

Catering services

My sister and I are talking on how to make our Dad happy on his upcoming birthday. And giving him a Birthday Party is our number one option. But we all knew that to arrange a party is not an easy task and food preparation is exhausting part for our mom plus time consuming. So, we agreed to hire a catering service where they have packages to offer from food, table setting, and servers. And no more hassle like washing dishes and others. The outcome mom and dad said it is very organized, food are awesome, and they had so much fun entertaining their guest. From now on every time we have occasion we'll rely on catering service. :)
